After years of working with farm families — and experiencing it firsthand on my own family farm — one thing has become clear:

It is surprisingly easy to get off track.

Not because people don’t care.
Not because people aren’t committed.

But because farming and ranching moves fast. Priorities shift, responsibilities change, and important conversations can get pushed aside.

That is why I intentionally chose the word “huddle” instead of “meeting.”

A “meeting” can sound too formal, corporate, or like another exhausting commitment added to an already overwhelming schedule.

But every farm/ranch is already huddling — whether it’s over coffee in the morning, a quick conversation in the shop, a text thread, or while waiting for that cow to calve.

A huddle isn’t about adding more conversations to an already busy operation. It’s about creating the right structure so important conversations don’t get missed — creating alignment, accountability, and action.
